Moroccan footballer, Achraf Hakimi is still making headlines following reports that his wife has filed for divorce.
In the early hours of today, reports went viral that the wife of the PSG player has filed for divorce and demanded half of the properties of Hakimi.
She arrived in court only to realize that Achraf Hakimi had no property registered in his name.
It was reported that Hakimi, who plays for PSG and receives over one million euros per month registered his entire fortune under his mother’s name years ago.
A Nigerian man identified as Chidiebere Rex has reacted to the reports and his opinion has sparked hot debate on social media. In his post, Rex emphasized the importance of a man’s wife and their children in their family, stating that they should be the primary beneficiaries of a man’s property in the event of his passing.
“Your wife is your family and every of your property should be willed to her and your children. This shouldn’t be an argument at all. Your wife is not your relative but she took up your surname. Just pray to meet a partner that has good intentions and ready to build a family with you against all odds.”, he said.
Rex’s comment has garnered a lot of reactions with a section of social media users praising Hakimi for thinking smart while others have supported Rex’s position.
