The race to become a member of parliament in the Ayawaso West Wougon constituency seems to be tough as both candidates are seriously campaigning to win the seat.
The National Democratic Congress parliamentary aspirant, John Dumelo and the sitting MP on the ticket of New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon. Lydia Alhassan clashed today at a constituency debate organized by 3FM.
In a video shared by John Dumelo on social media, the incumbent lawmaker who is seeking reelection could be seen calling the actor senseless when she was asked why she and his team stopped John Dumelo from dredging a gutter which causes a flood in one of the communities in the constituency.
Recall that the actor who is now aspiring for Member of Parliament on the ticket of National Democratic Congress declared openly that he is dredging a big gutter at West Legon community some time ago.
After deploying excavators to the site and working on the gutter for three days, according to him, authorities ordered him to stop serving the people.
However, Hon Lydia Alhassan addressing the issue during the debate said if John Dumelo is sensible and thinks deeper, he should have sought permission before attending to the issue.
