Popular Ghanaian actress and television show host, Nana Ama McBrown has broken silence on viral reports that Despite Media has stopped airing her ‘McBrown’s Kitchen’ show on UTV.
Reports circulated on social media a few days ago that Managing Director of Despite Media, Faddi Dickson ordered that McBrown’s show should be taken off air. This follows after the Screen Goddess resigned from UTV as the host of ‘Untied Showbiz’ to join Onua TV, a subsidiary of Media General.
It was alleged that McBrown made several phone calls to Fadda Dickson but he declined.
Well, the actress who currently works for Media General has reacted to the report and confirmed the rumors. According to her, the McBrown’s Kitchen Show is a self-financed program, and it is not aired free of charge although Despite Media sometimes repeats the show for her when she’s not well.
Speaking with Berla Mundi on TV3’s ‘New Day’ show, McBrown revealed that she doesn’t know the reason why her program has been taken off air. However, she has reached out to the management of UTV to sort things out.
