In a recent interview, Ghanaian marriage counselor, Charlotte Oduro waded into the issues surrounding the legalization of LGBTQ in Ghana.
The LGBTQ subject gained public interest following the visit of US Vice President, Kamala Harris to Ghana a few weeks ago. A lot of Ghanaians including politicians, and religious leaders have called on the government to illegalize all activities related to LGBTQ in the country.
Counselor Charlotte Oduro appearing on the United Showbiz program sent a piece of advice to individuals fighting for the legalization of LGBTQ not to bring their ideology to Ghana.
“If you are interested in women, please don’t bring them here. That’s also how Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by God. We are against it, and we will be against it.
“We like men and we like women, and that’s the order in which God created the world. They should find a different world and go there, but we don’t do that in this world,”she said.
Meanwhile, the anti-LGBTQ Bill is currently in parliament. The bill, when passed, will criminalize all activities related to LGBTQ.
