The National Communication Director of largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi has disclosed that the next NDC government led by John Dramani Mahama will pay Ghana Premier League players GH¢1, 500 each as monthly allowance.

According to him, if Ghanaians give NDC the nod to rule the country in the upcoming general elections, they’ll establish a sports development fund which will help cater for all the investment in the sports industry.

He revealed the party’s intentions to provide financial support to clubs to compete in the CAF Championship League and Confederation Cup.

“The NDC will establish a sports development fund. The government will furnish the account with enough money and also generate some from corporate bodies,” he told Kumasi FM.

“Every club that plays in the Premier League will be supported with funds to settle player salaries. An average money of GH ¢1,500.00 will be paid to each player”.
