President Nana Akufo-Addo has said that the wearing of facemasks still remain mandatory until December 14.
The President made this known during his 17th address to the nation on the measures put in place to curb the spread of novel coronavirus in the country.
To help halt the spread of covid-19, President Akufo-Addo on September 14 extended the mandatory wearing of face masks by the next three(3) months.
“On Monday September 14, 2020, I extended by executive instrument the mandatory wearing of facemasks by another three months. So until December 14, 2020 the wearing of masks remain mandatory. The law enforcement agencies will be required to ensure this directive us respected by all. It has served as well in the fight against covid-19, so I urge each and everyone of us to wear our mask and do so correctly anytime we leave our homes,” the President said.
