Veteran Nigerian actor Pete Edochie has paid a heartwarming tribute to his friend; the late former President Jerry John Rawlings as day two of his funeral ceremony gets underway.
The renowned actor commemorated his fallen friend and asserted that his demise would always serve as a remembrance that death is a journey every individual is destined to embark on.
In a statement, the 73-year-old actor revealed that even though he is saddened by Rawlings’ death, he believes would that they would reconcile after he dies.
“My brother Jerry, your passing has reminded me once more that death is the ultimate destination of man…the spirit does not die. When my own spirit separates from my body, we shall meet again, we shall hug, we shall share our jokes. Until then, Goodbye Jerry, goodbye,” Pete Edochie said.
