Video of Maa Adwoa’s kīller hanging around Otumfuo hits online (WATCH)

A recently surfaced video has shed light on a former police officer, Inspector Ahmed Twumasi, and his close association with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the king of the Asante kingdom in Ghana.

The video shows the Asante monarch dancing to traditional tunes while being protected by a police officer, presumably Inspector Twumasi, who has since been dismissed from the police service.

The video comes in the wake of Inspector Twumasi’s involvement in the killing of Victoria Dapaah, also known as Maadwoa. Reports suggest that the two were in a romantic relationship that ended sourly.

Maadwoa was allegedly planning to leave Inspector Twumasi for her baby daddy who had invited her to move abroad.

During Inspector Twumasi’s court hearing, he claimed that Maadwoa owed him GH¢5,000, and her refusal to pay him caused him to lose his temper, resulting in her death.

The video has sparked controversy online, with some questioning the nature of the relationship between Inspector Twumasi and the Asante monarch, as well as the role of the police officer in the king’s protection.
