Former Blacks Stars winger, Christian Atsu scored 10 goals for the team in his 11-year football career.
He scored 3 goals in 20 games at the AFCON, 4 goals in 14 AFCON qualifies games, and 3 goals in 9 World Cup games.
Christian Atsu was named the best player at the 2015 AFCON when Ghana finished first runner-up in the tournament.
Atsu went missing 12 days ago after an earthquake hit Turkey.
His mortal remains were recovered on Saturday, February 18, 2023 under the rubble of the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that rocked Turkey and Syria on Monday, February 6.
Over 41,000 lives have been lost with many injured. A few survivors have been rescued though hopes recede close to a fortnight after the disaster.
Atsu had scored for Hatayspor Kulubu, their only goal in that game, the day before the disaster struck.
He signed for the Turkish Super Lig side in September last year on an initial one-year contract, making only three appearances.
