U.S Court finally jailed Hushpuppi 11 years

The United States Central District Court in California has dished out 11 years of imprisonment to Nigerian socialite, Ramon Abass aka Hushpuppi over fraud.

However, the social media celebrity will spend only 9 years in the US prison because he had spent 2 years in jail before now.

Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates in June 2020, following an extensive investigation and surveillance by multiple law enforcement agencies.

He was involved in an extensive fraud scheme that robbed victims of their money in the U.S, Qatar, the United Kingdom, and other places.

Following his arrest, Hushpuppi was extradited to the United States to face trial.

He was facing up to 20 years in prison but received an 11-year jail term at his sentencing hearing.

It’s likely that the Nigerian might be out in a shorter time if he continues good behaviour and rehabilitation whilst in jail.
