Sad news gathered by Adepanews.com has it that two highly-trained officers of the Ghana police Anti-Robbery Taskforce lost their lives in a fatal accident on the Walewale-Bolgatanga road on Thursday, October 21.

According to a statement released by the Police Service, the deceased were part of a five-member team deployed to respond to an emergency on that stretch.

The statement added that the other three police officers who were part of the team also sustained severe injuries and are in critical condition at a hospital in Walewale in the North East Region and plans are underway to airlift them for further treatment.

The press release also indicated that the Inspector General of Police(IGP), Dr. George Akufo Dampare has spoken to the families of the deceased.
