Two men arrested for selling twenty-year-old for $160,000 in Swedru.
The Issah Baba, 27, and as Ibrahim Keita, who have been identified as a Ghanaian and Malian respectively had conspired to sell a twenty-year-old Beninese.
The victim identified as Massim Sousu,a Beninese was rescued by the police in Agona Swedru in the Central Region.
The incident happened on 26th June 2020 when Issah Baba, 27, and Ibrahim Keita failed to bring the victim to the Happy Guest House in Agona Swedru for the transaction.
The two who are both residents of Agona Nyakrom had made attempts to sell the victim and were only looking for a buyer when Edem Ametorwogah expressed interest and began negotiating with them.
Luck eluded them when Edem Ametorwogah expressed interest and they also agreed to sell him at a lorry station where they were arrested.
Edem Ametorwogah, a police officer of the Divisional Criminal Investigations Department in Agona Swedru with the help of a team of police detectives who had been monitoring the whole engagement apprehended them.
A narration about the operation read the gang after much hesitation and caution Convinced that the buyer was real, led him to the Bawjiase Lorry Station where they received payment in full, and handed the victim to the police CID officer after which they were arrested.
