Three young Ghanaian men have found themselves in the grips of Volta Regional Police Command for engaging in police recruitment scam.

They were nabbed after they published a post on Facebook in the name of Volta Regional Police Commander, DCOP Edward Oduro Kwarteng, seeking to help potential applicants to be enlisted into the service.

According to reports, Bernard Amenyah, 18, Godsway Adzikah, 23, and Godson Wemegah, 21 were apprehended at Akatsi.

The Volta Regional Police Command in a statement has cautioned the public against such recruitment charlatans.

“The Command wishes to state that it is not responsible for recruiting persons into the service, as such, desperate applicants should be wary of protocol allocations being offered all over the place.”

“The Ghana Police remain resolute in the pursuit of recruitment charlatans in the region and has since arrested a total of five people in the past weeks,” police added in the statement.
