“This nonsense must stop” — Asamoah Gyan reacts to exclusion of Majeed Ashimeru from Black Stars squad

Former Black Stars skipper, Asamoah Gyan has angrily reacted to the absence of Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru in the Black Stars squad against Nigeria in the FIFA World Cup qualifier playoff.

According to Baby Jet in a Twitter post, he believes Ashimeru should be called into the national team because he’s the best midfielder in the country after Thomas Partey.

However, the 24-year-old was ignored in Otto Addo’s 27-man squad which was released in the early hours of Tuesday, March 22.

Reacting to the announcement of the squad, Ghana’s all-time top-scorer took to his social media page to criticise the decision to leave out ‘the best midfielder in Ghana after Thomas Partey’.
