The bullion van driver is paid GhC100 as risk allowance ,a former driver has disclosed during an interview on Adom FM.

This new disclosure come days after a bullion van heist which involved the killing of a police officer and a by passer as well as the driver who sustained serious injuries.

Many Ghanaians drew their attention to how unprotective the bullion Van’s used are and the risk they possess.

A former bullion van driver has shared his experience working as a bullion driver for a bank he failed to mention its name.

According to him, Bullion van drivers are being paid an amount of 100gh as risk allowance at the end of each month and an additional 30gh for airtime to call in case of emergency.

Speaking about their salary, he added that he was paid GHS 800 every month despite the risk attached to his job.

“Drivers of the bullion vans are paid GhC100 as risk allowance and are given GHC 30 for credit for the month. Sometimes we share these monies with the tellers we work with”.
