Stop the hypocrisy, you kicked him out of Black Stars at age 31 – John Paintsil fires GFA on Atsu’s demise

Former Black Stars player, John Paintsil has fired some shots at Ghana Football Association (GFA) for pretending to show love to Christian Atsu after he passed away.

After Atsu was confirmed dead on Saturday, February 19, 2023, the GFA released a statement to mourn the former Black Stars winger.

John Paintsil reacting to the statement tagged the GFA as hypocrites for pretending to show love to the player after snubbing and kicking him out of the Black Stars team at age 31. According to him, the GFA snubbed Atsu when he was without a club but now acting as though they love him.

“You snubbed him and kicked him out of your Black Stars at age 31.

“Atsu has been struggling to get a permanent stay in a club since the snub

“We all know the Value & Respect your club gives you when you play for your Nation

“Don’t pretend you loved him because you not at all,” he said in an interview on Original FM.
