Samira Bawumia’s ‘convoy’ involved in a fatal accident (PHOTOs)

Almost 10 members of Loyal Ladies – a group within the New Patriotic Party are reportedly receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after they were involved in a gory accident.

Sources relay that the dreadful incident transpired just before 7 pm, yesterday, November 23rd, 2020,

The Bekwai Police Division explained that these supporters met their tragic fate after they were returning from a mini-rally hosted by the Second Lady Samira Bawumia at Dompoase in the Bekwai Constituency of the Ashanti Region.

Unintentionally, the driver of their vehicle drove into a Toyota Hilux pick up owned by a Catholic Priest who also sustained injuries in the process.

Ashanti Regional Organizer of the NPP, Francis Adomako also added that vehicle carrying the NPP Loyal Ladies was not part of the official convoy of the second lady but they were present to support her campaign tour of the region.

According to him, when they arrived at Anua Nkwanta, all other vehicles were made to halt for the second lady’s official convoy to pass, and after they had passed, the Catholic Priest decided to get back to the road, not knowing that the Urvan carrying the loyal ladies was rushing to join the convoy, and it runs into the priest’s pick up.

He substantiated that the injured were hospitalized at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, revealing that two (2) have been discharged and six (6) are responding to treatment.

Mr. Amoako seized the opportunity and urged the police MTTD to deploy more officers to ensure law and order both on the road and in the street.
