Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo-Prampram, Sam Nartey George has fired some shots at Peace FM for reporting that CNN journalist bashed him during their recent interview.
Hon. Sam George is one of the few lawmakers who are fighting and pushing for the LGBTQ bill agenda. The MP is strongly against the legalization of LGBTQ in the country.
The legislator and some officials who are against the activities of the LGBTQ community have presented a bill before parliament to criminalize the act of g@y and lesbianism.
The Ningo Prampram MP yesterday granted an interview on CNN via skype over the anti-gay bill currently before Parliament.
During the interview, the legislator descended on the reporter for comments he made making him look like a person who was spreading hate and not love by sponsoring the LGBTQ bill. Sam George was obviously not in a position to change his mind about the decision he has made.
After the interview, the honorable MP made headlines on social media with a section of Ghanaians applauding him for intelligent submission.
Ghanaian-based media house, Peace FM also reported it but it seems Sam George is not happy about their choice of headline. According to them, the member was defeated during the argument.
The MP reacting to their headline told the media house to get an interpreter if they can’t decode the messages in English Language and have a clear understanding.
He took Twitter and wrote;
“dear @peacefmonline, the interview was conducted in English. You should have gotten a professional interpreter to help you understand the interview. Cheers. 🦁”
