Member of Parliament(MP) for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has called on President Akufo-Addo to apologize to the Chief of Aflao, Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Fiti V.

According to the NDC lawmaker, the reply Akufo-Addo gave the chief over the abandoned e-blocks in Aflao was disrespectful.

“Our revered chiefs and custodians of our proud traditions deserve utmost respect at all times regardless of which part of the country they exercise their authority.”

“The venerable Torgbui Adzongaga Amenya Fiti V and the people of Aflao deserve an immediate retraction and apology from President Akufo-Addo.”

“No chief anywhere in Ghana should be spoken to with such derision, disrespect, and condescension.”

“Torgbui Fiti V rather deserves commendation for his courage in speaking out against the reckless wasteful culture of abandoning inherited projects.”

The Chief had earlier given the education ministry a four-month ultimatum to complete an e-block school building started by former President John Dramani Mahama in Aflao.

The E-Block community day senior high school which has 26 classrooms was constructed by the opposition NDC and it is almost 90 percent complete but has been left to rot in the bush since 2016.

But according to President Akufo-Addo, the Aflao Chief cannot give the education ministry an ultimatum to finish the project.

Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Peace FM, the President dared the chief to go ahead and complete the project if he can.
