There have been few instances where registrants of the voters’ identification card were being asked to go home and change the blue colored attire they wore to the centers

According to the electoral commission of Ghana in a statement signed by Mrs. Sylvia Annor, Director of Public Affairs of the commission, background for the picture taking is blue, hence warned Ghanaians to wear colours other than blue to the registration centers

“We wish to inform the public that the background of the biometric photograph is blue. As such we kindly request the general public to wear colours other than blue.”

“In short, do not wear a blue outfit to the registration centres as it will be difficult to obtain a good photograph”. The statement read

People who therefore wore blue colored attires to the centers and were due to take their biometric photos were asked to go home and wear new clothes with any color other than blue to be able to obtain a clear photograph
