Sad news for NPP as Popular MP survives gory accident which had many injured while returning to Accra from Koforidua where he is said to have attended an official event.
The said MP was from a program heading towards his house in Koforidua when a minibus digressed and crashed the “Ford” vehicle of Mr. Alexander Akwasi Acquah, the member of Parliament for Akyem Oda constituency in the Eastern region.
Eight passengers in the commercial vehicle are said to have sustained serious degrees of injury and have since been sent to the Koforidua General Hospital to receive treatment.
Mr. Alexander recounted how his car nearly fell in a bridge adjacent to where the incident occurred.
The MP who was driving alone, returned to the national capital the same day after he was attended to by medical personnel and discharged.
The lawmaker is expected to join his colleagues on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, as the legislature reconvenes for the week’s business.
“It took the mercies of God for me to be alive and talking to you,” he said.
