Police issue statement after landlord allegedly locked down Krofrom Police Station over rent

The Ghana Police Service has issued a statement responding to reports that Krofrom Police Station in the Ashanti Region has been closed down by landlord over rent issues.

According to the Police, the public should disregard the reports.

The security agency explained that the station has been relocated to another facility inside the community due to the nature of the structure.

In a statement, the agency urged Ghanaians to dismiss false allegations and continue to support the Police in carrying out their job.

“We, therefore, urge the public to disregard such false publications and continue to support the police as we protect lives and properties and maintain law and order,” the Police said.

The statement from the Ghana Police Service reads;

Reports of Lock-down of Krofrom police station by landlord is false

“Police wishes to state that reports circulating in the media to the effect that Police personnel have been locked out of the Krofrom Police station by the landlord is false.

Due to the nature of the building, the station has been relocated to another building within the community.

We, therefore, urge the public to disregard such false publications and continue to support the police as we protect lives and properties and maintain law and order.
