Police beat up Journalist for taking pictures at ‘Chop Bar’

A journalist with Takoradi-based Connect FM in the Western region, Eric Nana Gyetuah has allegedly been beaten by some police officers for unlawfully taking photographs of them in a chop bar.

According to reports, Nana Gyetuah who is the morning show producer was beaten by the police personnel after his arrest.

The officers accused him of unlawfully taking pictures of them at God Is Love Chop Bar in Sekondi-Takoradi last Thursday.


Nana Gyetuah had gone to the eatery for lunch but the confrontation saw him whisked away in a police vehicle.

He returned with a swollen face.

The case has been reported and is under investigation.
