Peter Manu reveals how the NPP got their results 12 hours after the voting ended officially in many centers across the country.
The Campaign Manager for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Peter Mac Manu has revealed how the party got to know their outcome very quickly after the voting ended.
The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Ghana(EC), Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensa disclosed that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential aspirant had 6, 730, 413 which represent 51.59%, and the flag bearer of the largest opposition party National Democratic Congress(NDC), John Dramani Mahama had 6,214, 889 which represent 47.36%.
Although they won, the party revealed they had the result from all over Ghana very quickly.
The Campaign Manager made this revelation during an interview with Paul Adom Otchere last Tuesday on Metro TV.
He revealed that they used a lot of science and data to build a very robust software to help in their collation and projections.
Their projections he said did not go very accurate because of the defeat by the parliamentary.
Meanwhile, the former president and flag bearer of opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC), John Dramani Mahama have said that his party will not accept what he described as ‘fictionalized’ results in the just-ended general election.
But in a recent interview on Voice of America, Mahama mentioned the conditions under which he would accept defeat.
“If an independent audit is done on the EC’s results and the outcome proves that I lost the elections, I will accept it and walk away as done in the past.But as long as an independent audit is not done and knowing that there was a deliberate attempt to subvert the will of voters by the government and the EC, it will be wrong on my part to let it go
