Onua TV/FM sends hot reply to NMC for disrespecting Captain Smart in a letter they issued about his arrest.

The National Media Commission (NMC) in a lengthy letter cautioned Accra-based Onua FM over the conduct of one of its broadcasters, Captain Smart after his arrest.

A letter signed by the Executive Secretary of the NMC, Mr George Sarpong, dated Thursday, 2 December 2021, and addressed to the company’s CEO, described the call by the broadcaster as “unprofessional” and “inciteful” broadcasting.

But Onua TV /Onua FM doesn’t not agree with the NMC and has decided to respond accordingly.

Media General has called out the National Media Commission (NMC) for what it terms as a hasty judgment over the arrest of its journalist, Captain Smart.

According to Media General, the Commission aside from breaching the law also misconstrued the outcry by Captain Smart against the E-levy as well as failed to exercise restraint and passed judgment in the shortest possible time.
