The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) has served their members with letters directing them to go on strike from Monday, September 21, 2020.

The President of the Association, Perpetual Ofori Ampofo speaking with TV3 indicated that the conditions they had with government have failed since it refuses to improve them.

She also raised issue concerning the money allocated as allowance for frontline health workers which the government promised as part of the incentive packages in the fight against the novel coronavirus.

Madam Perpetual Ofori Ampofo added that a petition has been sent to National Labour Commission (NLC) over it’s intended action.
