#NoCallsDay: It is pure madness to tell me to turn off my phone — Kwame A Plus

Controversial social media commentator, Kwame A Plus has kicked against the #NoCallsDay ongoing protest.

According to him, it is sheer madness to tell him to turn off his mobile phone as a protest against the SIM card re-registration process. He added that the sim re-registration process is annoying and frustrating but to switch off his cell phone as a form of protest is something he’ll never do.

“The sim re-registration is annoying and frustrating. But to ask me to turn off my phone is pure madness!! If I turn off my phone, and turn it back on after 6pm and I receive a message that my daughter has an emergency and they have been trying to reach me what will I say? I was doing protest? 😂😂😂😂 I support you but this kind of protest diɛ I won’t do!! Find another way to protest against the process. I should turn off my phone. Woyale anaa? 😂😂😂😂😂 My phone dey on kankpe. I’ve even increased the screen brightness so that I can see well well. Come and turn it off yourself. 😂😂😂

#halfmanhalfbosom,” he wrote.

Thousands of Ghanaians are expected to boycott the use of their phones today, February 8, 2022 from 6am to 12noon to protest against the chaotic and illegal SIM re-registration exercise.

The #NoCallsDay is led by notable members of society and backed by over 7,000 persons who have signed an online petition to support calls for a more civil SIM registration exercise.
