Nana Agradaa convicted of sika gari fraud, faces 3-year jail term

Former Ghanaian fetish priestess Patricia Asiedua widely known as Nana Agradaa has been convicted by an Accra Circuit Court after pleading guilty to charges against her.

The dubious fetish priestess turned Evangelist is expected to serve 3 years in prison should she fail to pay the fine imposed on her.

According to presiding judge, Justice Emmanuel Essandoh, operating a television station without a license contrary to section 110 of the Electronic transaction act 2008 and her popular ‘sika gari’ advert is contrary to section 137 of the criminal offenses Act, 1960.

Agradaa was convicted to a fine of GHS36,000 or 3000 units in default of which she will serve 3 years in jail in hard labour.

Nana Agradaa was also found guilty on sika gari in which case she will serve one year in case she defaults on payment of GHS 10,000 fine to the state.

The famous fetish priestess was arrested some weeks ago by National Security Operatives and National Communication Authority for operating her TV stations without a license.
