Broadcast journalist, Captain Smart has revealed the reason why President Akufo-Addo is not willing to hand over to Vice President Bawumia despite a section of Ghanaians asking him to resign.
According to the Onua FM/TV morning show host, the President will not step down for the Vice President to take over because he’s afraid the Veep will expose him as a result of some changes he (Bawumia) will make.
On Wednesday, November 16, 2022, Captain Smart on the Maakye show said “the Akyem Mafia is afraid and “one day, we’ll see people packing out their stuff from the Jubilee House. The police, Soldiers, others ain’t happy. The way Col. Owusu Ansah was ousted from the Jubilee House has not been explained yet and I’m going to do that story.”
“Nana Addo wanted to leave it for Bawumia in 2023 but he is afraid the new Finance Minister will expose Ken. If Bawumia takes over now, he will change the Finance Minister, he will change the Defence Minister, he will change the Interior Minister, Roads minister, he will change Ursula, he will change the Agric minister, Oppong Nkrumah, and Nana Addo will be exposed,” he said.
“The Akyem Mafia is afraid. Gabby used to tweet a lot on Bawumia but now he flees when he hears his name,” he added.
He observed further that, Ken Ofori-Atta’s probe by the legislator has an agenda and wouldn’t bring any result, especially looking at his posture before the 8-member ad hoc committee from Parliament.
“What will happen should happen and he doesn’t care if you sack him or not,” Captain Smart deduced of his posture before the Committee.
