Telecommunication giant MTN has released a statement informing it’s customers about its decision to increase charges on data and talk time in the coming days.
According to the statement, the introduction of the Covid-19 Health Recovery Levy by government has resulted in an increase in the NHI Levy means customers would have to pay more foot the levy which takes effect from May 1, 2021.
The statement read;
“Dear Valued Cliet,
MTN Ghana wishes to inform you that following the introduction of the Covid -19 Health Recovery Levy, resulting in a 1% increase in the National Health Insurance Levy, your talk time/ data volumes will be adjusted to reflect the tax change.
This takes effect from 1st May, 2021”
