Residents of Ashaiman (a suburb in Accra) are currently living in fear as military men storm the community to ‘discipline’ them over the demise of a young soldier.
Over the weekend, reports went viral that a 22-year-old young soldier was murdered by some residents of Ashaiman.
It was revealed that the deceased was stabbed multiple times by the unknown attackers.
The soldier, according to sources, was returning from his girlfriend’s house in Taifa and heading toward his residence at Zongo-Laka in Ashaiman when the unfortunate incident occurred.
Though he was carrying a laptop and other electronic gadgets the attackers made away with only his iPhone.
Following this, some military men stormed the community to deal with the residents. According to a reporter from UTV, he met four men clad in military uniforms who have mercilessly beaten a resident who has gone out to pee.
