Medikal, Shatta Wale court case takes a different turn after an appearance in court today.

On December 7, 2021, an Accra Circuit Court adjourned the cases involving Shatta Wale and Medikal to January 25, 2022 after their lawyers pleaded with the court to do so.

Shatta Wale’s lawyer Jerry Avenorgbo appealed with the court to adjourn the case to enable his client to attend some programs outside Ghana during the festive season.

The lawyer of Medikal, Pobbi Banson also appealed with the court to adjourn the date in order for him to embark on trips to perform during the Christmas season.

And surely their appearance in court today did not really start their fate was not determined as the court presided over His Honour, Emmanuel Essandoh, adjourned the case to February 15, 2022.
This was after, the prosecution, led by Chief Inspector Denis Terkpetey, also requested that the case be adjourned so that they may submit processes, disclosures, and witness testimonies and serve them on the defendants.
The attorneys representing Shatta Wale, Kojo Owusu Koranteng, also known as Nana Dope, Eric Venator, alias Gangee, and Iddriss Yussif, informed the Accra Circuit Court 4 that the accused people were apprehended quickly and aggressively and brought before the court, only for the prosecution to fall asleep.
Meanwhile, the lawyer for Medikal Alice Nimako Debrah Ablormeti, disclosed argued that they have not been served with the processes and disclosures to properly mount their defense.
