Man in court for stealing two Bibles

A Nairobi man, Augustine Wanjonyi has been put before court for stealing two Holy Bibles.

Wanyonyi was arrested after he was captured in CCTV footage stealing Bibles from local Naivas supermarket.

He admitted he stole the Bibles but insisted he wanted to use them to preach the word of God in passenger vehicles.

He also told the court that he wanted to read the holy book to lift his spirits after his house was demolished at Mukuru Kwa Njenga.

Upon being questioned why he stole the two bibles instead of one, Wanyonyi said he was taking the other one to his wife.

In other news, sad news reaching our front desk has it that a 29-year-old police woman has been k!lled by a speeding vehicle at Potsin Junction on the Kasoa-Cape-Coast highway.

According to reports, the deceased identified as PW Constable Febiri met her untimely demise after the speeding vehicle ran over her at a Police snap checkpoint at Potsin junction.

The Ghana Police Service is yet to reveal an official statement.
