Presidential primaries candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Agyapong says former President John Dramani Mahama is no alternative for Ghana.
According to him, the 2020 flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) does not deserve reelection because he has not proven himself to be a good leader.
“Mahama is not the alternative. The man has been fortunate to succeed Atta Mills, he went for four years as president and we saw what happened.
“What is Mahama going to tell Ghanaians?” he said.
He added “the fear of John Mahama coming to power is that he has not proven himself to be a good leader. Giving him another opportunity…he needs only one term, four years, even when he knew if he managed the economy well, he would have another opportunity he could not do it. Now that he would have one term only God knows what could happen.”
“The alternative is not good for Ghana.”
Joining Paul Adom Otchere on Good Evening Ghana on Metro TV on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, the Assin Central MP said he (Kennedy) is the best person to salvage Ghana from the untold hardship successive governments have ushered the country into with his expertise as an astute businessman.
“From his track record, he needs just one term (four years) even when he knew that if he manages the economy well he will have another term opportunity but he could not even do it. Now that he has just term time God knows what this man is coming to do,” the outspoken legislator noted.
