The General Legal Council (GLC) has suspended the calling to bar of one Elorm Ababio, a successful graduate of the Ghana School of Law (GSL).
Her suspension pends an investigation instituted by the GLC following a petition filed by a citizen against her conduct on social media.
Ama Governor, as she is popularly known according to the petition to the GLC is said to have disrepute the image of the GSL in some content posted on her YouTube account.
She has, also, been accused of advocating for LGBTQ+ on her handle whilst the act is prohibited in Ghana despite a yet to be passed law to outrightly outlaw it in Ghana.
The GLC in a response to the petition has written to Ms. Ababio to suspend her call to the bar pending a Committee to investigate into the matter and advice accordingly.
