Lady who stabbed lover to de@th over grasscutter soup jailed 10 years

A 27-year-old woman who lived in Abesim in the Sunyani Municipality of the Bono Region was sentenced to 10 years in jail for the mürdër of her 30-year-old lover by a high court in Sunyani presided over by Her Ladyship Justice Mavis Akua Ando.

Reports have it that Hilda Asumani Embro had been dating her now-deceased partner for more than six years.

However, their relationship recently took a hit as the man was exposed as cheating on her with another lady.

According to reports, the two had a number of severe altercations, but the immediate family was able to resolve their differences.

The violent attack from Hilda Asumani Embro, according to the prosecutor, began when Prince Yaw Aboagye decided to consume all of the grasscutter soup she had made for the entire family.

In a fit of rage, Hilda is alleged to have repeatedly stabbed Prince in the neck and chin area with a pair of scissors, causing him to bleed to death.

The culprit was then detained and accused of manslaughter. She was convicted of the crime and given a 10-year prison term with hard labor.
