Its a tragic day for members of Jehovah Nissi Evangelical Ministry branch at Ejisu-Tikrom, as their pastor Rev Maxwell Attakorah, has been shot and killed by  armed robbers.

The incident took place this dawn in Anyinam Kegyase in the Nhyiaeso Constituency of the Ashanti Region on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, around 3 am.

Memebers of the late Rev Maxwell Attakorah household and as well as that of his church are shocked, grieving and mourning over the unfortunate turn of  incident of their pastor who was just forty four (44) years old.

In an interview sighted by Adepanews.com, the Associate Pastor of the church, Douglas Sarfo, told radio station Pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo

“I received a phone call from my pastor’s (the deceased’s) wife and she told me Pastor Maxwell Attakorah has been shot dead by armed robbers”.

The Associate pastor Pastor Douglas Sarfo went on to add,

“The robbers rushed to the bedroom of the pastor and ordered the wife to bring their money. She struggled with them and was able to escape”.

“I quickly rushed to the house and saw Pastor Maxwell Attakorah’s lifeless body. The deceased was shot at his shoulder by the robbers but they (the robbers) never took anything from the house after the incident,” he said.

The Ahenema Kokoben police have started looking into matters and have started a full investigation into the matter.

The body is currently at the mortuary of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) awaiting autopsy.
