Aspiring General Secretary of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah has said that former President John Dramani Mahama stands tall to lead the party in the upcoming general election.
He stressed that interested persons in the flag bearer position of the party are welcomed to contest but he believes that John Dramani Mahama can help the NDC recapture power in 2024.
Speaking on the New Day show with Johnnie Hughes on TV3 Wednesday October 12, he assured of a level playing filed in the flagbearer contest.
“John Mahama stands tall,” he stressed.
The former Minister of Youth and Sports further indicated that “but one fact we can’t run away from is in 2024 whose records are we going to run on? Is it not John Mahama?”
He further appealed to the delegates of the NDC to vote for him to become the next General Secretary of the party.
He assured that he as the qualities and skills to ensure a victory for the party in the 2024 polls.
