I’ve been vindicated – Says Bongo Ideas as management confirms de@th of Atsu

Albert Nat Hyde, popularly known as Bongo Ideas has reacted after management and agents confirmed the demise of former Black Stars player Christian Atsu.

Christian Atsu was confirmed dead by his agent and management on Saturday morning, February 18, 2023.

Even though there were high hopes of him being alive under the rubble, his body was said to be found lifeless according to management and some news outlets in Turkey.

A few days after the devastating earthquake hit Turkey, Bongo held the view that Christian Atsu can’t make it alive 3 days under the rubble.

In a tweet, Bongo Ideas said “We can all painfully accept that Christian Atsu did not make it. Surviving under rubble for 3 days is almost impossible. At this point, it’s over!”

A lot of Ghanaians especially social media users reacted to his tweet with a section slamming and cursing him for his negative feelings. Others also sided with him that the Hatayspor star didn’t make it alive.

In the early hours of Saturday, February 18, 2023 management released an official statement to confirm Bongo’s earlier comments that the player did not make it alive.

According to Bongo Ideas, the Hatayspor star, unfortunately, died under the rubble but his management did not know how to communicate it.

Bongo Ideas added that sports journalist Saddick Adams has been exposed for reporting that Atsu was rescued alive and sent to hospital for treatment.
