I’ll fight anti-LGBT bill with even my last breath- LGBTQ+ Rights Board member has said in an interview.
LGBT is gradually gaining its groubds in Ghana after many people openly throwed their support behind it.
Va-Bene Elikem Fiatsi, a board member of LGBTQ+ Rights Ghana, has stated that she will use all of her energy to fight the anti-gay bill proposed by Ghana’s Parliament.
Earlier this year, the Speaker of the House of Commons received a private member bill from some MPs seeking to criminalize LGBTQ+ and related activities.
In an interview with Happy FM and published by Peace FM, she stated that she will not hesitate to use her last drop of blood to fight for the LGBT community.
According to Va-Bene Elikem Fiatsi, the current law is based solely on hatred and misinformation.
She was heard saying;
“I don’t know what I will do yet but that is never going to change my position on this bill and that will not change my sexuality and gender. Therefore, I will have to fight until the last blood drops.”
