Ex-Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu has said that he will shave all the hair on his head if Ghana fails to qualify from the World Cup group stages.
The 31-year-old made this assertion on Tv3 New Day during the unveiling of pundits for Media General’s coverage of the 2022 World Cup.
The former Udinese player joins a star-studded list of pundits for Tv3 which includes Jerry Akaminko, Eva Otchere, and Shilla Illiasu.
Agyemang-Badu acknowledged that the team has improved and as a result should be able to qualify for the round of 16.
“Gradually we are doing well with set pieces. We are not up there yet. Now that we have a good bench. I’m not too sure that this team will go down that they cannot qualify from the group. If it doesn’t happen I will shave all my hair.”
“I can bet everything this team will qualify from the group. If Ghana doesn’t qualify from the group stage, I will shave it here. I am so optimistic about this team,” he added.
Agyemang-Badu missed the 2010 World Cup due to injury but featured in the 2014 edition which saw Ghana eliminated at the group stages.
Ghana are in Group H of the 2022 World Cup alongside Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay.
