I want to be Shatta Wale of Gospel music – Patience Nyarko

Ghanaian gospel singer, Patience Nyarko has revealed how much she admires self-acclaimed dancehall king in Ghana, Shatta Wale and how she wish she could be of his type in the gospel fraternity.

Patience Nyarko speaking in an interview on Atinka FM said she loves and admires the reggae/dancehall artiste. Opening up on why she admires him a lot, the songwriter mentioned his boldness, seriousness and strategic ways he mobilizes the youth to support his career.

She furthered that the gospel industry needs someone in the caliber of Shatta Wale who can boldly stand and speak on behalf of colleague singers. The ‘Wafom Kwan’ crooner added that most of the gospels singers are doing well in the industry but lack adequate support.

Patience revealed one thing she’s gradually picking up from Shatta Wale is how he has been able to raise a strong fanbase so she’ll soon be seen bringing the Christian youth together to worship God.

Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr is a Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist. He is known by his stage name Shatta Wale, formerly Bandana. He claims he is the African dancehall King. He is arguably one of the artistes with a huge and strong fanbase in Africa.
