I swear by my father’s grave, what happened to late Atta Mills can never happened in my hometown — Asiedu Nketia

General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has reacted after government organized a State event to mark the 10th anniversary of the death of late former President John Evans Atta Mills without the approval of the family.

According to him, the government has no right to organize an event to mark the 10th anniversary of the late President without the knowledge of his family.

Mr. Nketiah speaking in an interview on Okay FM monitored by Adepanews.com said what government did to the family of late Atta Mills can never happen in his hometown, Siakwa.

Family Members of the late Former President, Prof. John Evans Atta Mills on Sunday, July 24, 2022, boycotted the State event marking the 10th Anniversary of his death at the Asomdwee Park in Accra.

According to the Ebusuapanyin of the Twidan Royal Family at Cape Coast, Dr. Cadman Mills, the government is not being fair to the family members since they weren’t invited to the Anniversary.
