“I sacrificed for Akufo Addo; others should do same for me this time” — Alan declares presidential ambition

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyeremanteng has revealed his plans to lead the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) as flag bearer in the upcoming general election.

According to him, he sacrificed for President Akufo-Addo to lead the party during the 2008 election and he believes it is time for others to sacrifice for him to lead the NPP in the 2024 election.

“You remember when we went to Legon to elect a leader, you remember there were only two people out of the 17, who and who?” he says to a crowd of party supporters. Remember Alan and Nana Addo?

“I had over 32% and Nana had over 40%, but because of the party’s unity, I decided to support Nana so that we can all rally behind him.” “It is time for others to make sacrifices and give Alan the opportunity to lead this party,” he started.

In other news, veteran Ghanaian actor Psalm Adjetefio has disclosed that the monthly stipend the Accra Regional Minister promised him in 2021 came only once.

According to the Taxi Driver TV series actor, he went to the office of the Minister to find out and he was told that the minister has traveled.

In a 3 minutes audio he sent to media personality MzGee, he said all the help he used to get from well-wishers had stopped coming after he received GH¢50,000 from the Vice President.

“Now, I was so hopeful that what the Greater Accra Regional Minister promised will be forthcoming regularly but it came once and that’s all. I was in his office a few days ago as a follow-up but I was told he’s traveled and they are on leave.

“Right now, the situation has created a lot of problems for me; you know, a lot of people use to help me a lot but now everybody…I even understood that some people contributed some money in States to be sent to me; the moment they heard [that the Vice President had given me the money] everybody went for his money,” he added.
