I have regretted asking Asiedu Nketia to leave the Chamber

I have regretted asking Asiedu Nketia to leave the Chamber, NPP MP says during an interview on Joy News.

Farouk Aliu Mahama, Member of Parliament (MP) for Yendi Constituency, has expressed regret for requesting the NDC’s General Secretary, Asiedu Nketia, to leave the Chamber during the brouhaha between MPs.

He added that what sparked this behavior at the adoption of the 2022 budget was the Finance Minister’s humiliation in Parliament when he came to the House to ask for a chance to reengage both parties.

He was heard saying;

“I felt angered because a very hardworking person like Ken Ofori-Atta will come in and he will be embarrassed in such manner and he was disciplined enough to leave,”

“We took the decision collectively not only me but its something that is a regrettable situation,”

“When you get home and your children told you we saw you on TV and a few friends sent us the videos but after I looked at it, I’m human and I surely had that level of remorsefulness,”
