Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo-Prampram constituency, Hon. Sam George has challenged Majority Leader to mention the name of NDC lawmaker who sent him the e-levy birthday cake.
Mr. Osei Kyei Mensa Bonsu, who is lawmaker for Suame constituency has been in the news since yesterday after photos from his 65th birthday party went viral.
At his birthday party, the MP and other government officials were spotted cutting a birthday cake designed as E-levy, a controversial matter that has led to fisticuffs in Parliament.
After photos of the e-levy cake emerged online, a lot of Ghanaians slammed the Majority Leader and the NPP government for not giving a toss about their complaints on the e-levy.
It was alleged that the e-levy designed cake was given to Hon Osei Kyei Mensah by the Minority Caucus in Parliament.
However, outspoken MP Sam George has debunked claims that the e-levy was given to the Majority Leader by the NDC MPs.
He dared Mr. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu to name the NDC MP who sent him the cake in the next 24 hours. The Majority Leader had earlier said the person who brought the cake was not a well-known NPP member.
