“He better pray to God that I don’t find him” – Canelo Alvarez threatens Messi after video of him ‘kicking’ Mexico jersey popped online

Mexican World champion boxer, Canelo Alvarez has sent a stern warning to Lionel Messi after a video of him ‘kicking’ Mexico’s jersey went viral.

Alvarez threatened Argentina’s skipper for insulting his national flag.

In Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Mexico, Messi scored for Argentina to keep his country’s World Cup hopes alive. However, a video of the Paris Saint-Germain forward and his teammates celebrating in the locker room caught Alvarez’s eye.

Reacting to the incident, Alvarez tweeted: ‘Did you guys see Messi cleaning the floor with our jersey and flag,’.

‘He better pray to God that I don’t find him.

‘Just like I respect Argentina, he has to respect Mexico!

‘I’m not talking about the country as a whole, just about the bulls**t that Messi did.’
