Ghanaian model and brand influencer, Hajia Bintu, has broken her silence regarding rumors of a romantic relationship with Nigerian music executive, Don Jazzy. The duo gained attention after appearing together in a viral dance video that took the internet by storm.
During a recent interview on TV3’s The Delay Show with Delores Frimpong-Manso, Bintu revealed that she and Don Jazzy were just online friends. She recounted how the Mavin boss sent her a DM on social media after she was invited to Nigeria to shoot a skit by Mr. Macaroni.
Bintu refuted reports that Don Jazzy bought her a car as a romantic gesture, insisting that she purchased it herself with money earned from her influencer deals and instant ads on Snapchat. She revealed that she saves a lot of money from her various deals, and with multiple ads posted daily, the earnings can add up quickly.
“I saved a lot from my influencer deals and instant ads on Snapchat. If I post Instant ads on snap and make 500 cedis, imagine posting 5 or 10 a day, multiplied by a week and a total it in the month and this just one category of ads,” she said
Despite the intense speculation surrounding their relationship, it appears that Haji Bintu and Don Jazzy are simply friends and colleagues. Their collaboration in the dance video remains a highlight for fans of both the Ghanaian and Nigerian entertainment industries.
