Investigative journalist and renowned radio host Godsbrain Smart widely recognized as Captain Smart has reportedly reacted to the advocacy of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Transgender, and Queer Intersex (LGBTQI) in the country.
Responding to the trending issue, Captain Smart who is the host of Angel TV’s Anopa Bofo show boldly acknowledged that Gays and Lesbians in Ghana have rights.
According to the investigative journalist, rights are enacted in the constitution to protect every citizen of the country including gays and Lesbians. Thus he pointed out that it’s not out of place to advocate for their rights.
However, he quickly neutralized any assumption that he was in support of the practice of LGBT in the country when he said that add that it’s highly impetuous to accept gayism or live your life as a gay man in Ghana.
“Gays and Lesbians Have Rights which I agree. The fact that gayism is a human right does not mean we should accept it. It’s not part of our culture.
Armed Robbers are citizens with equal rights. Does that mean that, because they are citizens we should accept armed robbery in Ghana? Give me a break” He said boldly on his morning show.
