Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin says government may not be able to pay workers salaries in the next three months.
According to Alban Bagbin, government may struggle to honour some financial obligations including remuneration of employees in the coming months if critical steps are not taken.
He announced this in Parliament on Thursday, February 24, 2022.
“This is not meant to dissuade the committee from carrying out its duties. The government may not be able to pay salaries if nothing is done in the next three months. “
“As a result, we must assume command. He stated, “We have a lot of stuff to do.”
This comes as government is struggling to pass the much-hated electronic transaction levy.
